A 26-year-old woman, G1P0, presents to the clinic for evaluation of an itchy rash. She is 28 weeks pregnant. The rash began approximately 2 days ago. It started on her trunk. The lesions are extremely pruritic vesicles and pustules on an erythematous base. On evaluation you note lesions in several different stages of evolution. She has never had chicken pox.
