A 36-year-old man has developed a rash on his buttocks (see image), back and, to a lesser extent, on his arms and legs over the past four weeks. It has been mildly pruritic. He has recently been commenced on atenolol for hypertension and allopurinol for recurrent gout. As a child he suffered atopic eczema.
